As an Educational Psychologist in private practice I strive not only to work within a personal capacity, but also work in partnership with schools (Primary and High Schools). School support can be tailored to meet the needs of each school or setting.
A needs analysis could be conducted within a school if needed. Alternatively, my services available to schools include:
Parent and Teacher Support | Policy advisement and development | Needs analysis and workshop development | Social skills development | Learning support | Study Skills workshops | Trauma debriefing | DBT Groups | Group Assessments | Psycho-Educational Assessment | School Readiness Assessments | Subject Choice Assessments | Career Guidance | Concession Assessment (IEB & DBE) | Amanuenses support (trained as reader and scribe)
I facilitate and present individualised workshops and training for organisations, schools, parents, and groups. Workshops and training are specifically tailored, according to identified needs. These can be tailored to specific requirements, and I am available for both small and large groups.
Examples of workshops provided:
DBT Groups | Bullying | Substance Abuse | Study Skills | Coping with Exam Stress | The identification of learning difficulties and effective strategies to implement in the classroom setting | Coping with behaviour difficulties in the classroom | Parent and/or teacher Support
