Payment Methods

The fees charged for psychological services are within standard medical aid rates as approved by the Board of Healthcare Funders of Southern Africa (BHF).

Please be advised that my practice operates as a cash practice, therefore you are responsible for payment of sessions. I accept payment by cash or EFT, before or at the time of service.

Medical Aid rates apply to clients who claim directly from their medical aid.

Private Tariff (at a reduced rate) apply to clients who pay in cash or via an EFT payment.

You will receive a detailed invoice for each session that you can submit to your medical aid for reimbursement. It is advisable to contact your medical aid to inquire about the availability of funds and the benefits of your medical aid plan (as not all medical aid plans make provision for certain psychological services). Please check with your medical aid first if you intend claiming from them for assessments as some medical aids pay for assessments and some do not.

After Hours Sessions

Some clients request sessions outside of my regular therapy hours (after hours). I am occasionally able to accommodate a limited number of these requests. If a session is scheduled after hours, after hour rates may apply at the fee + 50% after hour fee.

Cancellation Policy

Any session that a client cannot attend, must be cancelled with the therapist directly at least 24 hours in advance. A fee may be charged for late cancellations, appointments not kept and missed appointments. Should you arrive late, you will be billed for the full time set out.

In the unfortunate event where the therapist is unable to fulfill an appointment, it is the responsibility of the therapist to cancel or reschedule the session. The therapist will phone, SMS or email the parent/client in such an event. Please acknowledge receipt of such a cancellation.
